Accuracy and limitations

This tool counts text that exists as selectable text in your PPTX, including slide text boxes and, if enabled, speaker notes. Counts can vary slightly depending on formatting choices such as line breaks, hyphenation, bullet lists, and text split across multiple shapes.

Some content may not be counted if it is not stored as text, such as text embedded inside images or screenshots. If your slides include charts or diagrams with text rendered as graphics, that text will not be included in word totals.
